Program Learning Outcomes Assessment
Don't wait until six months before the Program Self-Review is due. Use the Program Review cycle, start program learning outcomes assessment activities well in advance. If you collect and analyze evidence of student learning related to one or two Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) each academic year, you will have more information to include in your self-review documents.
Continue previous efforts
If at all possible, don't start from scratch. Review write-ups from previous assessment cycles (including, but not limited to recommendations from Undergraduate Council) to identify potential focus areas for the inquiry.
Program learning outcomes assessment is a team sport. To ensure that the process is meaningful and that it yields valid and actionable information, include others.
