    Topic B: What are the intersections between equity & program-level assessment of student learning ?

  • 06 Nov 2020--Workshop #1
  • Skill #1: Writing/revising Program Learning Outcomes
    Topic A: What do we expect students to learn/be able to do by the end of the program?
    Topic B: How can we increase equity with our PLOs?
    Time required: Before workshops - 30 minutes. Workshop - 1.25 hours. Follow-up - 1-1.5 hours

  • Skill #2: Producing/revising curriculum maps
    Topic A: How do we sequence learning opportunities for students to acquire that knowledge / those skills?
    Topic B: How can we increase equity through thoughtful sequencing?
    Time required: Before workshop - 30 minutes. Workshop - 2 hours. Follow-up -  2-3 hours (includes consultation with A-Team)

  • Skill #3: Determining/revising Performance Indicators (PIs) for each PLO
    Topic A: What does learning / acquisition of those skills look like?
    Topic B: How can we increase equity with our PIs?

  • Skill #5: Determining/revising which (parts of) assignments are used / will be used for students to demonstrate their level of attainment of each Program Learning Outcome.
    Topic A: What sources of evidence do/will you use to determine the degree to which student work demonstrates attainment of the PLO?
    Topic B: How can we increase equity through our assessments?
