Recruitment: Assessment Specialist

Candidate Presentations

Guidelines and resources

As part of your second-round interview, you are expected to prepare and deliver a 25-30 minute interactive presentation for an audience comprising faculty and staff from a Fictional Department. The department established their Program Learning Outcomes in advance of an accreditation visit 7-8 years ago and have not reviewed them since. The faculty and staff sincerely want to promote equity in their program-level assessment of student learning outcomes efforts, but don’t know where to begin.

  • The interactive presentation and activity is your opportunity to demonstrate how you would engage with faculty and staff in a workshop or consultation setting.
    • NOTE: A "typical" initial consultation about program-level assessment of student learning outcomes lasts approximately 45 minutes. Given the abbreviated timeframe (25-30 minutes) for your presentation, you may want to provide a snapshot of what you would do.
  • The room where you will present has a projector, dry erase board, poster paper, and markers. If you need different materials, please contact Kara Moloney as soon as you are able. You will have access to the room at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

The presentation will be followed by a facilitated 15-20 minute question & answer session with members of the CEE Learning & Teaching team; Undergraduate Education staff and administrators; and other campus partners.
