Our very own Student Assessment Researchers (StARs) delivered a presentation at the 2023 Writing Across Borders Conference in Trondheim, Norway this week!

Their presentation, “Student-Centered Research to Understand Student Perceptions of Writing Assessments and Writing Transfer,” details the most recent findings from their HSI Mini-Grant-supported inquiry about how UC Davis undergraduate students describe the explicit need for practical connections to learning outcomes in order to understand how learning, and particularly learning about writing, can be transferred to new contexts.
